Alyssa was born and raised in Idaho. She graduated in 2015 from Boise State University with a degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English. She then obtained her master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation from Northwest Nazarene University. Alyssa retired from the Idaho Army National Guard as a First Lieutenant in the Medical Services branch after serving for five years. Her law career began in 2020 at the University of Idaho College of law. Alyssa began working at MMBB, PLLC in 2023.

Alyssa began her practice experience externing for the Assistant United States Attorney's office practicing in federal drug and gun cases. She also clerked for Chief Justice Bevan at the Idaho Supreme Court. Alyssa's primary focus now is family law including divorce, child custody, civil protection orders, etc.

Alyssa has always been passionate about dance and previously danced for the Idaho Stampede after high school. She continues to judge for the IHSAA dance and cheer competitions. She loves the outdoors and spends a lot of time paddleboarding, cross country skiing, or hiking with her dogs.
