M. Sean Breen, Sr., born in Austin, Texas in 1963. Grew up in Idaho from 1966 to the present.
Education:
Idaho State University (Bacholer of Arts with honors) 1986; University of Idaho College of Law (Juris Doctorate) 1996; William Mitchell College of Law (visiting student Spring 1995).
Memberships:
Idaho State Bar admitted in 1993 (Member of the Family Law, Litigation, Worker's Compensation and Professional Ethics Sections); American Inns of Court, Barrister (Eagle Rock Inn); Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program, Idaho Trial Lawyers Association.
Experience.
Major (Retired) U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps. Partner, MANWEILER, BREEN, BALL & HANCOCK since 1999. Environmental law and regulatory compliance work at the Idaho Nuclear Laboratory (INL) 1993-1995. Private practice in Idaho Falls, Idaho from 1995 - 1999. Legal clerkships at the U.S. Department of Energy, Minnesota Attorney General's Office and U.S. Department of Justice.
Present Practice:
Representation largely focuses on domestic relations and family law matters (e.g. divorce, child custody, support, adoption, guardianship). Also conducts legal reviews and litigates the validity non-competition agreements.
Reported Cases:
Frieburger vs. JUB Engineers, Inc. 141 Idaho 415 (2005). This Idaho Supreme Court case establishes the legal precedent under which non-compete agreements are analyzed under Idaho law.
